It doesn't take a PhD to know the real truths in life, as the Scarecrow discovered.  He was Dorothy's best friend during her adventures, and his knowledge was pure, even without a 'brain'.  This straw man reminds us of the importance of loyalty and common sense.  From the classic novel The Wizard of Oz.
